Advanced Counseling, LLC is an Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) facility, licensed by MN DHS under 245G, to provide treatment to adults who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (SUD). With a multidisciplinary staff, we treat mental health issues and SUD with an integrated approach utilizing Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors, and outside referrals and consultants to provide the best care. To make a clinical recommendation for appropriate treatment services, each client has a comprehensive assessment completed. If approved for admission, clients are placed into the appropriate level of care based on their assessment’s American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) dimension ratings. Advanced Counseling offers three types of programming for co-occurring MH/SUD treatment: ASAM Level II.I: Intensive Outpatient Treatment and ASAM I.0: Outpatient Treatment, ASAM Level 0.V: Relapse Prevention. If clients need a higher level of care than Advanced Counseling offers, staff members help coordinate their referral with ease for a smooth transition of care.

Advanced Counseling’s regular office business hours of operation are 9a.m. to 5p.m. Monday – Friday and closed on major holidays. The treatment week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday. The day of service initiation is the day Advanced Counseling begins the provision of treatment services. The target population is adults, 18 years of age and older, who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and/or a legal situation that requires admission to treatment. All services are rendered at the Advanced Counseling Facility in Plymouth, MN. At this time, no services are offered via telehealth.
