Assessments

All assessments are conducted in-person by a licensed professional that specialize in co-occurring disorders. Assessments range from 1-3 hours in length and involve communication with appropriate 3rd parties. Advanced Counseling offers Comprehensive Assessments for substance use and Diagnostic Assessments for mental health.

Individual Therapy

These are sessions performed one-on-one with a client and their therapist. These sessions take place in person. Typical length of an individual therapy session is 45 minutes, however, some cases permit for longer sessions for which 60 minutes is allocated.

Group Therapy

Advanced Counseling offers multiple levels of group therapy, including Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and 48-Hour Program/Relapse Prevention. All programs address both mental health and substance use. Duration and frequency of group therapy is determined by the level of care as indicated in the comprehensive assessment recommendation.

Estate Planning & Trust Facilitation

We work with all parties to a trust, including Estate Planning Attorneys, Grantors, Trustees, Successor Trustees and Personal Representatives to help plan and facilitate chemical assessment provisions for Trust beneficiaries to ensure that payments are not creating drug or alcohol dependency issues.

Telehealth Services

Although we pride ourselves on continuing to stay in-person during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we do offer telehealth services on a limited and need-only basis. To better serve rural and greater MN, Advanced Counseling has recently added virtual Comprehensive Assessments and Treatment Coordination services.
