Advanced Counseling is an in-person IOP treatment facility for adults with co-occurring disorders located in Plymouth, MN. As a result, we receive many referrals to help clients with geographical convenience and/or transportation restraints. Many clients have also voiced benefit of attending in-person groups, and therefore we also receive referrals form facilities who are only offering virtual programming. These programs are all based off group psychotherapy sessions, ranging in intensity (duration and frequency of sessions)

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive outpatient programming is provided three days per week, three hours per day. Advanced Counseling offers both day and evening programming on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Day group runs from 10am-1pm and evening group runs from 6:30pm-9:30pm. The goal of IOP is to develop the necessary tools and coping skills for long-term sobriety and overall life
balance.

Outpatient programming is typically used as a step-down from IOP. OP is one to two days of group therapy per week. In order to meet criteria for OP, clients need to be 12 weeks free of mood-altering chemicals and in early remission. OP is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and clients are able to chose which days best fit their schedules.
